About
Back in 1998, Eagle Associates was formed to trade in used telecom equipment. After many years in the aviation industry, and latterly working for some of the UK telecommunications industry’s major players, founder Rob Govier saw a clear opportunity for organisations to realise some value from redundant telephone assets.
Small, but excelling in personal and flexible service, we did a good job and counted major PLCs as clients
However, as the market for used phone equipment declined during 2005, we looked to focus more on removal and recycling of large used phone systems. As environmental regulations became increasingly stricter, companies realised that they could no longer “skip” used telecom equipment.
A change in direction deserved a change in name. Telecom Green Ltd was born.
We’re often asked “how do you guys work?”. Quite simply, if your redundant equipment has an immediate market value, then we’ll bid to acquire it on a “bought as found” basis.
If it’s useful for spares, then we might remove it free of charge, covering costs on a longer-term basis. Reuse is the best form of recycling.
If neither of these options are viable, then we’ll remove and recycle it at a realistic charge, providing full Environment Agency-compliant documentation along the guidelines of the WEEE Directive and current waste legislation.
