About Telecom Green

No-one could describe us as the average telecomms company.
We aim to be honest, professional, and fun. We look forward to being of service to you.

Our Story

We began as traders in used equipment, moved into recycling as clients realised their environmental responsibilities, and now also work as telecommunications engineers. We serve both large PLCs, domestic customers, and everything in between.

We’re not the largest company in the world, but we have an impressive list of major PLCs as clients thanks to our professional standards of working and long history.

We are part of a long-established informal network of independent engineers covering the whole of the UK. If we don’t “know” a telephone system, then we probably know someone who does! And our environmentally-conscious background means that we prefer to keep systems running than replace them.

No-one could describe us as the average telecomms company. We aim to be honest, professional, and fun. We look forward to being of service to you.

Our Story

1

In The Beginning…

Back in 1998, Eagle Associates was formed to trade in used telecom equipment. After many years in the aviation industry, and latterly working for some of the UK telecommunications industry’s major players, founder Rob Govier saw a clear opportunity for organisations to realise some value from redundant telephone assets.

Small, but excelling in personal and flexible service, we did a good job and had major PLCs as clients.

2

“Going (Telecom) Green”

However, as the market for used phone equipment declined during 2005, Telecom Green Ltd was born. we looked to focus more on removal and recycling of large used phone systems. As environmental regulations became increasingly stricter, companies realised that they could no longer “skip” used telecom equipment.

A change in direction deserved a change in name. Telecom Green Ltd was born.

3

Telephone Engineers!

From 2008, as a result of many unsolicited enquiries for telecomms and IT engineering services, we decided to increase our focus on local businesses and individuals who needed honest, experienced and impartial help with their telecommunications equipment. Unlike many in the same market, we don’t want to sell you a new telephone system. We want to apply our knowledge, gained through working with “big names” on a national basis, in our local and regional area.

Our Clients

What They Say

Working with Rob was an absolute pleasure – no nonsense, efficient, thorough, even entertaining. We had our old BT Nortel exchange for around 13 years, after which it started with a number of intermittent faults.

Rob visited our premises, analysed the issue very quickly, explained that there was no reasonable fix available and recommended a replacement exchange. The price was very good, the installation smooth and Rob also tidied up some very messy legacy cabling. What we have now is so much better than what we had before.

All in all an excellent job and we can recommend Rob’s services without hesitation.

A very swift and well planned operation removed the redundant iSDX equipment from live IT rooms without any issues. Completed the job on time and left the site tidier than ever before. Would recommend their service to anyone who has telecomms kit to remove.

Ian Anderson, Essex Police

I was really pleased with the work Rob did for me. Not only is he professional, he’s also a lovely guy. He doesn’t inflate his prices and is happy to answer any queries and the work he did a very good job
